June 11, 2010 CHCC Selects South San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber for “Extreme Chamber Makeover” SACRAMENTO, CA --The California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce announced today, that the South San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SSJHCC) has been selected as the recipient of the State Hispanic Chamber's "Extreme Chamber Makeover" Contest. This contest was developed to give chambers an opportunity to receive consulting services to improve day-to-day operations at the local level. Specific areas include, Marketing, Public Relations, Fiscal Management, Membership Development and Fundraising.
The SSJHCC will receive 40 hours of consulting services from the Creating A Path To Success Scholars Program(CAPS), which is in part sponsored by Wells Fargo. This year’s CAPS Program is hosting six Scholars from universities throughout California, five of whom are obtaining Masters Degree's in concentrations such as International Business, Business Administration, Psychology, Entrepreneurship and Management.
The CAPS Scholars will provide the consulting services using the latest video and conferencing technology. In addition, the SSJHCC will receive free access to the latest management software to fully integrate their accounting, membership and outreach operations.
The results of the program will be presented at the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce 31st Annual Convention being held August 11-13, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.
